Green Tomato Chutney

Just busted open the first jar of last fall’s green tomato chutney.  It’s good.

Always have to think of ways to use up green tomatoes when the end of the growing season rolls around.  Here in Portland that times of year is November.  That’s when the heavy frost rolls in.

Another good idea I heard today for green tomatoes is to slice them very thin and make sandwich pickles out of them.  I like that idea.
