Hope Chest

Today we will be getting the first item for my stepdaughter’s hope chest, a hand mixer.  Her hope chest will not be traditional in the sense that we will not prepare it for when she gets married. Rather, we will prepare it for when she first moves out of the house, into whatever situation that may be.

Over the next 8 years I hope to find for her good sheets, blankets, cloth napkins, dish towels, hand towels, bath towels, and washcloths. Also cooking gear appropriate for a young chef out newly in the world; nothing too fancy, but enough so as not to feel continually frustrated or limited.
