January went by so fast

Time is flying.

Homeschooling is going well.  We have been regularly working on Spanish, math, reading,  and writing.   Soon there will be a meeting with my stepdaughter’s previous teacher to check in with her about what the class is doing this year.  We want to keep her up to pace with the other children so that she can return to the class next year.  This year it worked out to homeschool her, and she had been asking to do it since kindergarten.  So we decided to go for it for one year, so we could all have the experience.

We had several days of snow, which was exciting.  There has been quite a bit of rain also, and a sewer pipe up the street broke.  There was a river running down our road.  Luckily everything turned out alright and the city got it under control.

I crafted a felted picture of an evergreen tree to hang above our toilet paper despenser.  We go through way too much of it, and need to remember where it comes from.

Peace for now
