Since we moved into our house five days before our daughter was born, there are still a lot of small projects that need to be completed. Although this often frustrates me, I have to give my husband props, as lately he has been tackling these problems one by one.

Thanks hubby.

He unclogged the sink and shower drains in our upstairs bathroom. He cleaned up the backyard. And today he fixed the leaking fridge.

One hard thing about being renters is that you have to move on and start over. We sound like dreamers because we talk of the projects we’d like to get done; the way we’d like to change our yard, the garden beds yet to come, my outdoor kitchen. And what do we have to show for it? Not much. Not yet. Not here.

We were at our last house for four and a half years, and put so much love and effort into the yards and gardens. Yeah, they were a little funky messy like we are, but they were beautiful and we loved them. Now we have a plain yard and a pile of debris. Sigh

But our new house is lovely and I have faith that our love of plants will lead us to spruce up the yard and make it abundant.
