Cozy Chickens

Oh yes they are. This past week and a half they have been lovin up their coop and not spending a whole lot of time outside on the frosty ground. Their new heat lamp keeps the coop toastier than the outside and they are diggin that for sure. Their enclosure looks nice too, with the golden straw gleaming on the ground.

Nimbus has all her feathers back, but her comb is wilty and pale. And now Dundren is starting to molt. Soft, black feathers are strewn across the straw in the coop. All this molting means no eggs for us, but hey, everybody needs their down time.
