  1. I love leeks & have always wanted to do them, but from what I have read they seem like they might be difficult?

      I have read that as they grow you should pile soil around their stems to help make them thick and sturdy. I believe this is the trick.

      Also, be sure to harvest them before they go woody, even if they do not grow to be the size of store bought leeks.
      Mine are always small but tasty.
