Quilting Date

My step daughter and I have a quilting date this Friday. I am excited. We both love crafting and we love crafting together. It is something we used to do together a lot, and it is important for us to keep it up now that the baby is here.

I will work on evening out the edges on the wide striped baby quilt. If I have extra time I will see if the light purplish pink binding I have is long enough to go around the edges, and if so, maybe I’ll pin some on.

My step daughter started a quilt on her own initiative and has been steadily working on it. She is sewing it by hand and embroidered her middle panel with a picture of a bee and a flower. It is a small wall hanging/nightstand cover/doll quilt size, and quite lovely.

I’m looking forward to spending quality time with her and progressing on the quilt.

good night.
