Felted Easter Eggs

We are going to an Easter egg hunt and community gathering this Sunday. In prep, I am making woolen eggs for the children to find and tuck in their baskets. Each family I supposed to bring 20 littles treasures to hide. Mine are flat, orange, woolen, eggs with colorful stripes.

My friend gave me part of an orange wool sweater. I cut this into egg shapes and then sewed a green zig zag stitch through them, one after another, linking them all together. Next I will sew a pink zig zag, then a light orange zig zag. Finally I will cut the long strips of felt eggs apart, and there will be 20 little stripey orange Easter eggs.

Check out the first round –
