It Ain’t Always Grand

Our family’s next quilt will be an outdoor quilt. The back side of the quilt will be a large square of orange waterproof fabric. The front will be 5 or so large panels quilted together. The front panel fabrics are made of materials that will not greedily soak in rain. We’ve got some upholstery fabric in there, and some pressed cotton. The central panel is a quilted square that my friend at Living Tree Designs made – http://www.etsy.com/shop/LivingTreeDesigns

Here are a few pictures of the humble beginnings of our outdoor quilt. I’ll keep you posted on its progress.
