Oh to be tidy and organized

I am not, by nature, an incredibly clean or organized person. I’m not a total slob either. Over the years I have mostly been fine with this. But as I get older, and run my own home, these messes feel more and more like a burden.

This year my goal is to become more organized. I’m excited about this as an idea, but when it comes time to clean up those unruly nooks and corners in my house, I don’t feel so excited anymore.

Part of me wants to buy a book about how to organize one’s home. And then part of me thinks that would just be an excuse to sit around reading instead of actually cleaning up my messes. Hmmmm…..

As I progress along this track you are going to be witness to my successes and my struggles. So stay tuned. For shots of beautiful order, and of disconcerting chaos.

I was never organized until I moved to college. I noticed that being organized makes me much more productive! I now cant stand having a mess, and have a new love for cleaning. Once you get organized I bet you will love it and be much more relaxed so that you can read a book:)

  2. The transition from dreaming / reading / thinking about tidiness to actually getting it done has been one I have never been successful with. I have decided to embrace my mediocrity in clean. But I hope your journey can inspire me to greatness. I will be keeping track with you!

What'd ya think?
