Blueberry Picking

It took some compromise on everyone’s part, but our family pulled it together for a lovely afternoon of blueberry picking. River, Myself, My Husband, My Stepdaughter and Her Mother all piled in to a rented van, drove to Sauvie Island, and picked away.

The afternoon was sweet, warm and sunny. We relaxed under bushes, laughed and talked, and gathered our winter’s store of blueberries. In Peace.

Now I have blueberries and strawberries in the fridge, blueberries in the basement and blueberries in the freezer. The house is getting that fruit smell that tells me I better have the rest of these frozen by tonight, or else!

One Response to Blueberry Picking

  1. I’m envy! I want to go pick blueberries for my jam but I don’t know where can I do that in CA.

What'd ya think?
