We found a house!

Yes we did. We found a house.

It is on a double lot, with some large Doug Fir trees. It has a few fruit trees, and a large storage shed. This is handy, since it is about half the size of the house we were living in. It has three bedrooms, which is wonderful, because that allows us to have a guest bedroom / crafting room. And the landlord seems both really nice and practical. She seems human, which I like. Much better than renting through an agency or an extremely business minded landlord.

The interior paint job is cute. The exterior is plain, but hey, whatcha gonna do?

It is not as beautiful as the house we almost lived in. The land is not as alive. But it is very affordable, and has a big yard. All of our belongings will fit in the outbuilding and the house combined. It will be a chance to simplify. The owners are fine with all of our pets and with me hanging a clothes line and making a garden. And it is very close to my stepdaughter’s mother’s house. So that will be really nice for her and her brother. They can just walk back and forth between the houses. We will be one big (hopefully) happy family.

I am excited. Keep your fingers crossed.
