Visiting my home, my deepest home, I am again faced with all those people and places that I love and have left behind. So many Friends. Family.

Winter here is deep and beautiful. The sky turns a different shade of blue at dusk as the last of the light reverberates off the snow.

I know the land. The beaches, the woods.

I love these folks here so much. I know how much each business means to the area, how each of my purchases effects people and who it effects.

I wish I knew my friends’ children better. It pains me that I do not.

My heart throbs, my eyes tear. I hold it together and smile, and hug, and say goodbye, again.
