A Gift From My Husband

Upon my arrival at the Portland Airport, my husband had a bag of food packed for me in case I was hungry. Apple slices, cheese slices, nachos, chips and hummus.

I arrived home to find the house perfectly clean. The table was wiped and cleared. The toys were all put away. River’s top dresser drawer was full of clean diapers. Most of our household laundry was washed and folded. Our bed was made with fresh sheets and pillow cases. And there was not a single dirty dish to be seen.

I feel really well cared for right now. I had asked that the house look decent when I got back, but I never expected this. He even went grocery shopping and cooked dinner last night while I recuperated.
