Homemade Clothing

My husband has been watching River one day a week for about 5 hrs so that I can have some alone time. I’ve used a handfull of these days to sew our family some homemade clothing. So far I have created a halloween costume that did not get used, a halloween costume that DID get used, a pair of pants for River, a costume for my stepdaughter’s school play that I can now wear as a dress for myself, a skirt for myself, and a tank top for myself. I have also started on a non-clothing sewing project for my stepdaughter that I will not reveal until it is complete.

Here are the pants I made for River. I have animal helpers in nearly every task I undertake.

Here are the pants in action. Kids will put your homemade clothes to the test   ; )

Here is the lovely skirt I made for myself. I wish I had gorgeous pictures of these garments that I am so proud of, but I guess that’s just life. Sometimes I just have to snap a pic in our house while life whirls around me.

Sew on mamas and papas, children and dogs, you can do it!
